I have asked 10 people what they think of my front cover.

David said: “I think that the title is a good font and it is very eye catching. I think that it does go well with the pop genre but I think that you need to make it more colourful. I don’t think that you have enough ‘selling’ points on the cover such as celebrity names. I think that the changes that I would make would be that I would add more pictures.

Lesley said: “I like that you have kept the same colours throughout the front cover. Also I think that the title really stands out. I think that your magazine goes well with the pop genre. The thing that I don’t like is that the front cover looks a bit bare maybe you might need to add some more cover lines. I would only change the side of ‘single of the week’; this is because it is hard to see.

Julie said: “I like that the cover lines are in different fonts and sizes this makes it look more exciting. Also I think that it does go with the genre that you are going for. I don’t like that you can’t see the tag line of the title. I would change the size of the tag line and I would add some more cover lines.

Charlotte said: “I like the different fonts and sizes of the cover lines, but I like that they are all the same colour. I think to go with the genre it need to have a bit more colour on it but apart from that I think it goes with it. I don’t like that single of the week is so small because I can’t see it very well. I would change some of the colours on the front cover.

Faith said: “I think that the front cover is laid out really well, I like that the cover lines are away from the models face. Yes it does go with you genre. The only thing that I don’t like would be that under ‘single of the week’ there is a gap that could fit in another cover line. I would just add in another cover line and then I think that it will be fine.

Harry said: “The colours on the front cover make it look professional and the different fonts make it look more interesting. Yes I think it goes look like the pop genre. I don’t like the size of the price of the magazine because if people can’t see the price then they won’t buy it. I think that I would change some of the sizes of the cover lines because I can’t see them.

Millie said: “I think that the title is a good font and I like that all the cover lines are the same colour. Think that it does go with the genre that you are going for.  I don’t like that some of the cover lines such as ‘single of the week’ are much smaller than the other cover lines. They don’t need to but the same size be I think that some of them could be made bigger.

Samantha said: “You have a very good front cover; it looks like something that I would get from a shop to read. I did think that it looked like it was to do with pop music when I looked at the front cover. The only thing I don’t like is the size of some of the fonts because for some people it could be hard to read and you don’t want to lose people because they can’t see things.

Colin said: “I like that none of the cover lines are covering the models face. This will give the reader a better look at the model. I don’t think that you need to add more colour because it think that the red and white is enough. It is just the gap under ‘single of the week’ that I think needs to be filled with something.

I think that with a bit more colour then it will appeal to the pop genre better. The cover lines need to be bigger and also I would add some more colour to the front cover.
